Jan
Koum is a Technology entrepreneur and Co-founder and CEO of WhatsApp with Brian
Acton and also a good computer science engineer and Hacker and responsible to
prevent the bad hackler to do any fraud or anything wrong. The WhatsApps was
acquired by Facebook Inc in Fab, 2014 for $19 billion. Jan koum is one of those
man who gone Facebook for interview but rejected every time and then he came up
with the idea of WhatsApp with his friend Brian Acton. The WhatsApp came into
the picture five years ago when he got rejected from much internet company because
he thinks that the companies are too much obsessed with the advertising and marketing
instead of following the innovation in the in the industry. He joined Yahoo as
Infrastructure engineer, where he met with Brian Acton. He was working as the
security tester and both became friends and wanted to start their own business
and he left yahoo in 2007 and bought an iPhone where he realize that the App
store is about to come with a huge app industry. With hours of talking they
came up with the idea of WhatsApp because it just sounds like “Whats up” and in
2009 they registered the WhatsApp Inc.
“WhatsApp
doesn’t collect information like name, gender, address or age. Instead, users
are approved after their phone numbers are authenticated. It’s a decidedly
contrarian approach shaped by Jan’s experience growing up in a communist
country with a secret police,” said Goetz in a blog post yesterday on Sequoia’s
website. “Jan’s childhood made him appreciate communication that was not bugged
