Dennis O’Brien-Leading Irish Telecommunication Business Tycoon

Dennis O’Brien is an Irish telecom giant, owner, and CEO of Telecommunication Company Digicel. O’Brien formed and chaired the Esat Digifone Consortium, which won a mobile phone license in 1990, which brought him a billion Dollar fortune.  The Moriarty Tribunal found this doubtful that this winning was due to the payment that he makes to Michael Lowry, and then the minister broke the bidding process.

According to Bloomberg Billionaire index O’Brien is the wealthiest native born in Ireland, which says that he owns the empire worth $5.1 Billion, with the company Digicel at a big price of $.3.7 Billion. In addition, this business tycoon has started his international commercial company named Aergo Capital Limited in Dublin. He is one of the biggest shareholders in two companies. He said that he had lost nine colleagues involved in building his big network of at Papua New Guinea due to accidents, automotive collisions and plane crashes.

Efforts of Dennis in Providing Wireless Facilities

Dennis is the largest wireless provider in Central America and pacific and Caribbean too. He is willing to provide wireless communication and technology to places like Bermuda and Hamilton. He did well with his aircraft company, which establish in 1989. O’Brien sought his telecom company at a good bid to Talenor.

As per the statement of Mark Wignall, Jamaica Observer newspaper communist, “Digicel’s launch in Kingston was one of the biggest I’ve seen of any business venture. He used people who knew how to market to Jamaicans. He understood the Jamaican psyche and played on it to the full.”
Mark further added that people should be good failure at their initial stages to make their ways towards massive success. Apart from his interest in abroad, O’Brien is also a country lover and faithful to his roots.
